Here's one of my favorite Live steamers of all time. This is a copy of the South Pacific Coast's Sonoma, a 3 foot gauge Baldwin 4-4-0.
A good friend built this from scratch. It's 5/12ths scale and runs on 15" gauge track. Alas the engine is no longer running. It was donated to the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, CA after he passed away several years ago.

E6 #460. Even the little ones engineer the locomotive. This engine has since been completed.
The owner of the engine is on the right.

Another View Of The K4sa #612. The guy that is the engineer on the locomotive is the one who got the K4s #1361 Project under way back in the 1980's.
1-1/2 Inch Scale K4sa #612
1-1/2 Inch Scale M1b #6750. Me & My Grandfather firing up his locomotive. This is a side view of the engine. That is a I1sa sitting behind his locomotive.
